With an investment of 13 million dollars, the first stone was laid for the Independencia II Industrial Park, which will be built by American Industries and is expected to generate 3,000 direct jobs.

For his part, the president of American Industries, Luis Lara Armendariz, expressed his satisfaction for the beginning of this project that will contribute to the development of Juarez, with six industrial buildings that will be installed in this lot, which is known as 'Pocket Park', that is to say, a small park, which nevertheless will house at least 3 thousand direct and indirect jobs, which will benefit approximately 15 thousand people, which demonstrates that this border continues to be a catalyst.
In her participation, the president of Index Juarez, Fabiola Luna, thanked American Industries for this park that continues to promote Juarez for investments and at the same time implies a commitment for the institution she is in charge of, to approach and attend the companies, as well as to coordinate efforts with the State Government, in the promotion of the economy of this border.
This new Independencia II Park, located in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, will have 24 hectares to build six buildings that will allow national and international operations of the companies.
Cruz Perez Cuellar, Mayor of Juarez, pointed out that the maquiladora industry is the engine of the economy of this city and expressed his willingness to work jointly with the industry and other levels of government.
